We asked him, and he had some interesting things to say.
What makes you so special?
Blaine: “Being born a Caucasian with a British accent, I feel like you can pretty much get anything you want out of life. The good thing is that you’re going to be able to afford to have fun. There’s not really anyone to say, ‘You can’t do it.’ ”
“People don’t say that because I don’t come from a financial family, and I didn’t have a financial background. But I didn’t have to deal with those types of challenges as a kid growing up,” Blaine adds. “You know, having a stable family or having a dad who’s working, that gives you some stability to do whatever you want with your life. Like you can’t just come into a job, you have to have qualifications or you have to have a degree.”
What are some of your best memories from your childhood?
Blaine: “I think the one thing that always reminds me of where I was with my family at the time is that my older brother was in the army and when it came time for me to go to school I was just a little bit nervous.
