There are a bunch of different cameras that work for video filming – from cheaper options like the EOS 50D, to the full-on DSLRs. The Canon EOS 70D will do almost everything that you might need, but it’s best for shooting weddings. The Canon 60D is a great all-rounder, but its smaller size and compactness mean it’s less versatile for video work. It’s also a bit pricier.
Canon’s new S30 Mark II – the new model for the company’s digital cinema camera lineup…
The new S30 Mark II, which was announced at the Blackmagic Design event last week in San Mateo, California, is the company’s first digital cinema camera and it’s really great at video: it has a 12.7-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, ISO 4444, and 4k video at 30, 60 and 120fps (frames per second) – although it doesn’t have a 1080p option at this point as its sensors aren’t powerful enough yet. It also has a 1.4um pixels which means it’s significantly wider than most of Canon’s previous cameras, including the EOS 5D Mk II which is a little on the skinny side but still has 16.3-megapixels (which is the best in the market), and still produces good low-light images (and even better with live view).
The cameras are rated ISO 100,200 for video and the S30 Mark II will support 1080p recording but only at the maximum resolution of 24 fps. The company says it should be usable at higher resolutions, it will support Wi-Fi, SD memory cards up to 40GB or micro SD cards up to 128GB and RAW shooting at 12.7 megapixels instead of 16.3. You can purchase the EOS S30 Mark II in both black or silver and it’ll come in two different version: the body only costs $700 but you can also get a 16-megapixel version for $3,200. It also has a 4K recording at 60 fps.
The new Canon EOS 70D …
With the new EOS 70D, the company’s first ever APS-C based digital cinema camera, it’s got a new, larger sensor so it can produce larger, deeper images. You can shoot at 60, 120 and 720p, as well as 8k video – not at the maximum 24 fps as the last generation. You
