On his TV show last night, Sean Hannity attacked President-elect Trump for having tweeted out that he “will not be intimidated” by the “Fake News Media.” Hannity’s rant was followed by the latest round of criticism from liberals, in the form of a petition to ban Hannity from MSNBC. (Hannity’s MSNBC contract expires at the end of next year.)
But here’s something to consider regarding Hannity’s latest crusade: The person who actually has been getting attacked for criticizing this president-elect is actually a very successful media personality. And he is the subject of a new book called “Hannity and Me.”
He is Bill O’Reilly.
According to former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, Hannity has given the impression to his viewers that he doesn’t have a problem with Trump — in fact he actually likes Trump. Kelly also revealed that Hannity has a very strict opinion about when and who he should interview.
During a January segment of Hannity’s show after Sean Hannity criticized Hillary Clinton for her role in the Benghazi attacks, Kelly had this to say about the topic:
After Trump spoke about the attack during a press conference, Hannity criticized the president-elect:
When you asked me about Obama and Libya I said I didn’t think Clinton made a mistake in going there. I said what I said; he’s given us a real problem.
